Forum & Blog Posting Rules

back to the forumback to the blogs

Bunspace forums and blogs are a fun, positive way for Bunspace.com users to connect on the site. Fun, friendly and informational is the guideline. These forums and blogs have been provided to help house rabbit owners to communicate, share their experiences, and get help when needed. It's a tool for our educational mission.

The forum & blogs were established to allow members to:

  • Meet one another and share stories about their rabbit(s) with other rabbit people. No one enjoys hearing about your rabbit's latest antics more than other bunny people.
  • Learn about rabbit care and behavior from one another. Your past experiences may benefit other members, and as well, you may benefit from hearing about others' past experiences.

You may not:

  • Post or link to any material that is abusive, illegal, obscene, vulgar, libellous, defamatory, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually or racially offensive or otherwise objectionable.
  • Make personal attacks (including insults, name calling, threats or accusations) towards other members or the admin team.
  • Discuss intentional breeding or give names and locations of specific breeders. We also do not allow postings offering or alluding to the sale of any rabbit or breeding services.
  • Publish or discuss your organisation, product or services. Neither the forum not the blogs do allow advertising.
  • Use the forumor blogs to direct others to any pages which you have commercial interests in; these include commission or referral hyperlinks.
  • Start posts that directly or indirectly point to another web site that we deem is a direct competitor to Bunspace.com or our partners.
  • Post links to or information about websites, petstores or products with the sole purpose of criticizing or attacking them.

Correct Forum Category and Duplicate Threads (applies to the Forum only)

Please ensure you start new threads in the correct forum category. We reserve the right to move topics to the proper category. If you find a topic that already discusses your problem, add your post to this thread without starting a new topic. Duplicate discussions may be deleted.

Vet Information & Vet Referrals

The flaming of vets will not be tolerated under any circumstance on this forum or the blogs. While you may have had a negative personal experience with one vet clinic, another member may be happy with them. If you have experience with a particular problem, you may post on how you solved that problem, along with a suggestion that the original poster get a second opinion.

It is okay to refer a particular vet when someone asks for it or if it is subject related. Even if someone posts their vet or facility recommendation to you, it is still your responsibility to screen the vet and the facilities. Bunspace.com and the person that gives you the vet reference is not responsible for what happens in the referred veterinarian's care. That is between you and the veterinarian. Always be sure to check out any referred vet for yourself.

Personal Information

This are public forums and blogs and it should be considered a safe place to voice an opinion. Please, do not post personal information on either the forums or the blogs and do not ask for personal information from others.

Posts that contain personal information or request members to submit personal information to another party will be removed.

Regardless of how much experience you feel that the person who is suggesting a particular medical treatment has, ALWAYS consult your veterinarian before starting your rabbit on a new treatment (including herbal medicines!) or altering a current course of treatment.

We take the "be polite" rule VERY seriously! We do not tolerate ANY rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive will receive one warning (at our discretion). And if the member offends again the member will be banned without further warning.

Report a Problem Post

Editing & Removal of Posts

We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined here in the Rules and Guidelines.

We reserve the right to edit or remove posts. When a post is edited a note from admin will be added to state this. Posts are removed for lots of reasons, sometimes because the content is inappropriate, sometimes because they don't comply with the Rules and Guidelines. We reserve the right to edit or remove posts at our discretion and without explanation.

Topic Locking (applies to the Forum only)

We will lock Forum topics for the following reasons:

  1. when a Forum topic devolves into negative attacks or other senselessness.
  2. when the Forum topic becomes so large that many key points start to repeat themselves.
  3. when a topic requires review for violations of any of the Forum rules, and is under consideration for deletion.
  4. any other reason we deem necessary to lock any given topic.
